That the best thing about having an invisible friend, he/she always wants the same things you do.

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

Haven't you heard??

Odin is in an 'Old folks Home' in Sommerset. Quoted as saying he "Likes the fresh clean linen sheets every day. And the Nurses are sweet young things"
Angel Cloud
"The Universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements: energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest." G'Kar-B5

Many makes more sense than one.
Also gives an explanation why they keep hidden:
‎(ll. 42-53) "For the gods keep hidden from men the means of life. Else you would easily do work enough in a day to supply you for a full year even without working; soon would you put away your rudder over the smoke, and the fields worked by ox and sturdy mule would run to waste." Hesiod: Works and Days

Really? Hate to say it, but your beliefs are falsifiable, go climb mount Olympus and see for yourself. Nothing there.

And no offence, but are you serious?

RE: Creationism
Yes I am serious. Olympus is indeed the abode of the Olympian Gods. However, it is not the well-known mountain separating Thessaly from Macedonia on whose peak followers used to built alters, knowing full well that it could not therefore be the Gods' literal abode. There were 18 other mountains also called Olympus in distant places inhabited by Hellenes, from Asia Minor to the colonies in the West.

The true Olympus was and is a Divine place, a celestial 'land' that is bathed in Spiritual Light. In fact the word Olympus is derived from the verb 'Lampo' (I radiate), whose archaic root is probably proto-Pelasgian. The sublime Olympus lies above us, below us and within us. Our Gods are everywhere!

Just how seriously do you take the mythos? Do you believe the whole Hades/Herecles deal?

And one other thing. WHY? What reasons do you have for believing Greek Paganism?

RE: Creationism
Hades ,yes because he isn't evil and it isn't like like he is hard to believe he has a rule of the underworld. The Underworld is 3 regions;Tartarus, Elysium, and Asphodel Fields. Herkules couldn't be real. The Herkules story was not found in the Theogony or Works and Days. It was folktale. Like the tale of Hamlet. They even had plays about Herkules. There were shrines but only as symbolic protector of man.
