Trump must really hate education.  Yes, let's put a psychopathic preacher on a task force to decide what to do with higher education.  Great idea, really.  Remind me again how Trump isn't worse than Hillary?

I've tried to eliminate the last vestiges of hope. I greet each day girded to expect the worst. And yet Trump continues to find ways to surprise and disappoint me. It's incredible.

Falwell Jr.? I wouldn't let that slimy prick near a student with three functioning brain cells, let alone empower him in any way to help craft higher education.

This is just more cronyism. And the Republicans are either too blind, too stupid, or too unwilling to see it. All he's really done is cut out the middle man in the oligarchy.

At least he's better educated. Attended a private school in Switzerland and probably speaks more languages than english and bad english.

Republicans see it and don't care. For them expansion of superstition, rolling back of science, vilification of public mindedness, elimination of barriers to exploitation, and the further enrichment of the rich and further impoverishment of the poor are each a goal so desireable that all that are not in this list can be sacrificed to them with total equanimity.
