As a historian he should have been asking why Matt and Mark said Pete first saw the risen Josh in the Galilee while Luke and John said Pete first saw the risen Josh in Jerusalem.

There is no tradition of the "exalted" Jewish heroes in "apocalypticism" being brought back to life.
The sect(s) of Judaism which believed in resurrection of the dead, thought it would happen "at the end of times", not before.
