There is a need of balance after all, just like how friction is needed to slow and stop something from moving, for otherwise; we would continue moving forever.

A battery is dead when the positive charges in the anode are in balance with the negative charges on the cathode.
If a dam is breached, the height of the water behind the wall is in balance with the height of the water in front of the wall and the turbines will not spin to make power.
Anakin Skywalker was prophesied to bring balance to the Force.  This he did by making the number of surviving Jedi match the number of Sith.

Of course. It's probably more complicated in terms of human society, human minds and life itself, but yeah...

The laws of logic and physics do not change anyway, and even if they did, the slightest change of anything could lead to dire consequences for us, and maybe everything else.
