RE: Capitalism; work in progress
Here's to Australian extremely obese cat Gina Rinehart who is about to become the world's richest woman. The 57-year-old iron ore mine tycoon is now worth £6.8billion due to a commodities boom. That's how capitalism works for some you see, with no extra effort, merely the capitalist roullette table throwing up your number, overnight you go from being merely a fatcat to an obese one!
Analysts are predicting she might soon be worth even more, perhaps £62.5billion, at which point she would overtake the world's richest fatcat Mexican Carlos Slim( sic ) worth only £46billion! Bet her miner employees are over the moon at the news! not. |

A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that? |

And so to the new capitalist powerhouse...China, where the Deyu Academy school is oversubscribed after its motto became " We teach girls what they need to marry a rich man ".
Altogether now, in the style of the Floyd, " we don't need no education " |

I know a girl over there majoring in proper knee pad adjustment. She is sure to "hook" a winner with her skills.

RE: Capitalism; work in progress
As a change from my normal rant, let's hear it for billionaire investor Warren Buffet who is calling for America's mega rich to pay more taxes.
He would raise tax rates for those on more than $1million p.a with a larger increase for those on $10million p.a. or more. He further wants to leave rates as they are for 99.7% of American taxpayers as the country sets about trying to reduce its deficit. He is quoted in the New York Times as saying " It's time to get serious about shared sacrifice ". I agree, let the rich bleed! |
