No need. I'd probably be a large corporate ruler until then.

I find the idea of immortality immensely scary, but I also understand people who are afraid of the void. I've seen old, tired people of about 80-100 years of age welcoming death, so I don't see what immortality would hold for us.

Welcome to AF Mehmet, good of you to finally introduce yourself Smile
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

RE: Hello.
Welcome to the forum. It's nice to have someone who is just confused, but would like an afterlife.

Nice to see you've made an intro. I'm less inclined to think you are a troll now Smile

RE: Hello.
Thanks for the intro. I understand the fear of the void. I just think that if we die and there is a void, at least we won't have fear, as our brains generate fear, and our brains will be beginning to rot by then. I think it would be awful to have our consciousness live on and have awareness that we are no longer apart of the living world. That would be immensely depressing.

I welcome the void.

But I can say that I'm not anti-religion.
And I'd like for a God and an afterlife to exist, what kind of an afterlife it may be.
I must say that I'm really afraid of the idea of the void, meaning, non-existence.

Welcome. Smile

But seriously, what's there to be afraid about the void?
I think that God and an afterlife is a more frightening thought than the void because the void can't even do anything. Tongue

And that's what it comes down to. Fear.
