Regressive Straw Man

RE: Regressive Straw Man
while we are cherry picking jesus said
Luke chapter 19 verse 27
says to kill his enemies
and
mathew 5 : 17
says something about not changing any OT laws
So it is very easy to interpret what ever you want from these old text.
I dont like to get upset but your load of crap is well.... crap.
love ya man but we've all seen this road.

Luke chapter 19 verse 27 is a parable, not literal, and matthew 5:17 Jesus says means he will fulfill the laws with his sacrifice.

And I never said you were full of crap, the video was.

By the way fulfill means to end. If I fulfill my hunger, I am no longer hungry. If I fulfill laws, there are no longer laws.

Anyway, do you have an answer to the OP?

Okay so you say the video is crap. could you get specific because honestly I don't know much about the subject. The piece i presented gives a historical background of why the situation is what it is. Maybe im not getting your point.

'Twas another thread started, Shuffle had many hopes,
That a regressive would come and bring him one single quote.
The OP was unanswered, the regressives muddied the water,
To answer the OP, the regressives would not bother.

I am going to sleep now, and when I wake,
There better be more posts waiting at my plate.
And if there's not, oh there will be a mess,
For the regressive's agenda will be in distress.

There is a lot there but it doesn't really address the historical reasons for the Islamic violence.
There are many passages in the Bible that are abhorently violent and many passages in the Quaran that call for peace.

this is what a person with a lot more knowledge than me said about this subject

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story...=124494788

It appears to me that at one time Christianity acted, in the past, the way Islam is acting now.
It seems more that those who want to exact revenge or gain power simple do what has always been done with religion. They use it to their advantage.

If all religion could be laid to rest then maybe all would be better. As for now, however, we have what we have.

So i conclude.

That IS history. Are you kidding me?! Those are the core believes of the Islamic faith. Muhammad, the leader, founder, and prophet of Islam wrote that. I don't care about geopolitical circumstances when you have the MAIN GUY of Islam writing ALL of that.

And you are right. The Quran is peaceful in the first half, however as it goes on, the worst it gets. And in the Quran it says that if there is a contradiction, the verse that comes later is the right one.

Jesus was a hippy, Muhammad was a warlord pedophile. Where is the comparison?!?!?!

I don't care about the past. 99% of terrorism last year was explicitly by MUSLIMS. Not Buddhists, or christians, or Jews, or atheists. NO! M-U-S-L-I-M-S.

One simple question: Did you actually read the Quran?

I didn't and so I reserve judgment for the time I can present an informed opinion.

I didn't read the entire Quran, no.Did you read the entire Bible? How could you base your opinion on it without reading the entire thing? Exactly.

Anyway, do you have an answer to the OP?
