...And then there were seven :-/
September 8, 2015 at 1:25 pm
As most of you know, I have 6 cats. Not by choice, mind you, but because there are so many strays and homeless animals in this awful little town we're currently living in and sometimes you find one that needs help and can't just leave them. While I wouldn't choose to have so many cats, especially since we have to move across the country every few years for husband's job, I never had the heart to take any of them to shelters.
Thursday night, I opened my front door to hear an animal yelling. Really loud, and really upset. Following the noise to a few houses away in a neighbor's bush, was the tiniest little black kitten. Three weeks old.
Hahaha.... ha..... ha.......

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Oh my GOSH! He's SO CUTE!!!
You are the kindest person to take in so many homeless kitties!
Do you not have any no kill shelters in the town you live in, or nearby? I mean, if it's really getting out of hand for you, there are often places and people to help strays that won't kill them. I understand about crappy towns though.
If I could, I'd fly down there and take this one off your hand right now! Squeeee

We live in a small "Mexican" town, 3 hours away from the next city (San Antonio). The people here don't care much about the animals and it's warm climate, so they just keep reproducing and reproducing and there are a TON of cats here. There is one no kill shelter here but it's always always always full. But even if it wasn't, I just can't do that. I can't dump an animal at a prison to be locked up in a little cage until someone, if anyone, adopts him and hopefully gives him a good home. I can't do that. I'm trying to get pregnant right now, too. I love the little kitty very much, but I'm definitely stressed and the last thing I need is something else to take care of.

Wish you could too. You don't live anywhere close to south west Texas, do you??

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.
