Being gay doesn't having anything to do with atheism. This is an introduction thread. I'm pretty sure we're not supposed to jump into our introduction with "Hi, I'm an atheist." "There is nothing else to know about me."

Being gay is obviously something he feels is part of his identity and he's identifying himself here. Makes sense to me.

Well, I've just never found it relevant during introductions to speak of who, what, or how I like to engage in sex. Certainly no big deal, just never really understood that. I guess it makes sense coming from a 15 year old. I remember those days and I can only guess it would be hard being gay. I wouldn't want to offend Josh or discourage him from being himself.

In my state the of consent for hetero sex is 17. For gay sex it's 18.

Of course in the UK the age of consent was 12 until about 1920.

I don't do it, either. To each his own, though. You can tell a lot about a person by the first thing they choose to mention.

In all seriousness, I agree with you completely. Apparently when the majority feel the need to express pride, it makes them a bunch of bigots. This fact about society has always confused me.

We could do that (and it wouldn't be racist), or we could forget about the whole "pride" thing and just celebrate humanity, and all of history.
