Everyone keeps saying "This pope Francis is a good guy", but fuck. He's only good compared to the rest of the miserable fucks out there. He's not a climate change denier, and he thinks the poor should be helped. You'd have to be fucking stupid to deny climate change (and there are plenty of stupid fucking people). Helping the poor is kind of what his whole damn religion is built on the idea of (Jesus healed the leper without fucking charging her, despite the fact Leviticus told him not to touch her). It's great that he's trying to get the rest of the miserable fucks to realize that Jesus didn't say "Capitalism is awesome. Cheat your way to the top, and live in the life of luxury so you can get into heaven."

Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love. |
