Rocket, in all honesty I don't think you really believe that is a fair analogy. People die when they do not eat. No one dies for lack of sexual intercourse. And really? As for what a civilized person does, that depends on their inclinations and what they hope to achieve in life, but I don't consider promiscuity or serial monogamy civilized.
Luckily, what you consider civilized really doesn't matter.

I think it is. Serial monogamy is having sex, with only 1 person at a time.
This is how almost everyone has sex. You have sex with the person you are with and not anyone else. When you are no longer with that person, you eventually find someone else and you have sex with them and only them.

Personally, I think it's healthier, especially when you're young and unmarried, to have casual relationships and date around and have fun. Personally, I don't think sexual monogamy is all that important or something to be considered some amazing virtue. But serial monogamy?? This is what you find uncivilized??
People have sex. Even those who consider it a sin. Most people do not marry as virgins. I guess everyone is uncivilized? In which case it would stand to reason that you have a flawed definition of the word civilized.

As someone who couldn't have sex for 9 years straight, I could not agree more.
Addendum: In fairness I suppose I technically could have had sex... but since I am monogamous, in love with my lady, and don't like dudes...

Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

I'm not so sure about that, from personal experience...

You know, Chad realizes he has some pompous ass problems. He has said as much on his self descriptor. There is no need to rake him over the coals about it. Not being able to enjoy sex for its own sake without rationalizing it as some sacred duty must already suck big time.
