Ouch! I could see that and it's scary. That's a ticket which could appeal to Hispanics and would probably win Florida - king of the swing states.

Despite flirting with the crazies, the Republicans nominated relatively level-headed guys in 2008 and 2012. It'll probably go the same way this time. Nuts like Trump and Carson are just not electable in the general. After a brief fling with them, even the Republicans come to realize that.

I've been predicting Kasich/Rubio for a while now. Think that goes anywhere?

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

Perhaps. I'm not sure Kasich is hardcore enough to earn the Republican nomination, though. He would make a more reasonable candidate for the general election.

(Remember, "more reasonable" is relative.)

I predicted Walker in the beginning and he didn't even make it 'till 2016!

And the reason the assholes insist they lost is because they did not nominate a "true" conservative.... i.e., a crazy.

Be interesting to see if this recent budget deal doesn't inflame the assholes of the conservatards.  It is aimed squarely at them.

I keep hoping they will nominate a 'True Conservative' because not only will that be good for the country in the short run (It will be a Democrat landslide) but it might force the Republicans back into what they once were: a party of level-headed common sense - the party of Barry Goldwater. I wouldn't necessarily take the side of that party today but at least we could have a reasonable dialog with them. We could meet in a mutually acceptable middle and work together for the good of the country.

Trump Fading...I thought someone had noticed the wind I had been suffering with is getting better.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Goldwater WAS the first time they ran a "crazy."  He got crushed.

Goldwater may have been truly crazy, but he was true to his crazy principles, so he was a predicable quantity.

Today's "crazy"s are mostly slimy narcissistic opportunists who would gladly let the humanity burn if by so doing they could get the opportunity to admire themselves in reflected light for just a brief moment.   They would embrace each and every crazy fart in the wind no matter how mutually contradictory these are. They are the true and natural sons of the Reagan revolution.

Kasich is too reasonable to snag the nomination. Crossless is right, though, two Florida candidates might be too narrow an appeal.
