Kasich is too reasonable to snag the nomination. Crossless is right, though, two Florida candidates might be too narrow an appeal.
Which raises another question. If Bush and Rubio are the only viable candidates once the GOP love affair with Trump and Carson ends, will the party machine really want to see Bush as its nominee? The "Bush brand" is hopelessly tarnished, and Rubio, on paper anyway, gives them a chance to appeal more broadly to Latinos than hitherto (I think we can safely leave Cruz out of the equation).
If Bush doesn't gain momentum soon, I can imagine him throwing himself on the sword for the good of the party, at least after a little backroom arm-twisting.

I am wondering when the republicans will realize they are so far from any shot at the whitehouse they should just give up and divert all attention away from the presidential race so as to protect their chances in the senate and the house.
I don't think it is inconceivable that against any of the current crop of republican loons, even Hilary Clinton could go into the whitehouse with enough of a coat tail to bring in a democratic senate and possibly house.

Not a viable strategy ... American voters come out for Presidential elections. With no coattails, more Republicans will stay home, and that'll damage their chances in Congressional races.

Is it good news if it's about a loony race? I'm honestly amazed when looking at Carson. Top at his job but abysmal idiot at everything else.

Carson scares the motherfucking shit out of me.
Can we please not have a complete, batshit crazy Christian wingnut in office?

Carson's star won't shine long. Hell, I wish it would because like Trump, he is not a viable candidate in the general election. Hillary would crush him.
The Repugs will HAVE to go with an establishment candidate to have a chance. That means Jeb (who's family name is tarnished thanks to his dim-whitted brother), Christie (who is badly damaged by Bridgedate) or Rubio. I'm afraid of Jeb or Rubio because of their Hispanic and Florida appeal. Florida is an enormous electoral prize and the Hispanic vote nation-wide could swing many southwest states in their favor. It wouldn't take much with Florida in their pocket.

No coattail is a given with this field of candidates. They would do better to divert attention away from just how dispiriting their presidential candidate would be.

Call it morbid curiosity, but I kinda want to see the skin, he covers up with that super-glued fluorescent mop on his head. If he thinks that THING looks better, than what's underneath it - his scalp must look like a baboon's a**e, that's been hit with a shotgun...
