In moments of weakness, I feel a little sorry for the 9-10 sane Republicans who I imagine are still around (and likely in hiding). Watching their party degenerate into the anti-intellectual freak show it has become since St. Reagan got the ball rolling must be excruciating for them.

Having never gone to medical school, perhaps I've fundamentally misunderstood what's involved in separating twins joined at the head. Is a surgeon/child brain exchange also part of the procedure?

A flat tax is not good for the economy. Someone making 10k a year is going to be struggling enough without having 1k taken from him. A guy making 10b a year is still going to be a billionaire when you take 1b from him.
The defense budget, which is currently 57% of our spending, is what needs cutting the most.
I'd like to be able to fix the debt without raising the ceiling some more. That seems counterproductive.
