That was just stupid. 11 players, you have 8 votes vs 3, there is little reason to not split the vote, and every reason in the world to do so. I don't care that Savage went home at all, but c'mon, you all have played the game before - did it seriously not occur to any of you that there just might be a hidden immunity idol in play somewhere? That's not as stupid as James going home with two idols in his damn pocket in China, or Frampton-comes-alive (aka Erik Reichenbach) giving away his idol and getting voted off in Micronesia, but it's pretty close. One rational for not splitting would be that if you went to an even split (4-4) then Kelly cierra and Abi then only have to convince one person to go with them. Makes their job a lot easier and Kelly would get to keep her idol potentially. That doesn't excuse them not doing a 5-3 split which at least would have forced a tie-breaking vote. I can't believe no one suggested that, or if it was suggested why they didn't do it.

I don't think that actually works - if it's 4-4 and 3, if the 3 get someone to go along, it's 4-3 and 4 and still a tie, and the minority is still screwed at the tiebreaker vote.

Fair point. They'd have to get two if the majority split the vote (5 to a split 6), and three if they didn't split (6-5) to become the majority. It's still stupid of them to not split the vote.

Oooooo, I hope Stephen and Jeremy don't incur too much of the wrath of Kimmi next week.
I was really surprised that it was Stephen and Spencer who jumped for the advantage; of all the people who might have those two would never have been my first guesses. I thought Wigs and/or Joe would jump for it because they're strong swimmers and could beat others in a head-to-head swim-off, but alas... I did think it was really interesting that the challenge included Andrea and Brenda's one-legged standoff from Caramoan as the final leg (no pun intended) rather than just balancing on the top. I actually wanted Abi to win if only so that Joe didn't keep winning everything, but then it would have sent people into a Joe tailspin wondering if now was the chance to get rid of him. Him winning the challenge certainly streamlined the vote. I wonder if Jeremy and Stephen will be able to pull Spencer over next week. I don't care either way about Wig being gone, but still don't like the direction the game is taking. I can't stand Wentworth and Cierra, and wish one of them had gone instead.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Well, anything can change of course, but I can see both of them being on the block, and there aren't going to be any hidden immunity idol shenanigans with the idol in Jeremy's pocket.
Abbi has almost made it far enough to not get voted off because she is good to take to the end. Ugh.
