New trend in evolution deniers.

RE: New trend in evolution deniers.
The thing they always utterly fail to realize is that even if evolution was "false", that doesn't make their fairy tale magic account any more true. It would just leave us with no sensible explanation, and more investigation would be needed.

Binary religious thinking, again. It's one specific scientific theory, or it's magic.

They're a minority. I get they're stronger in America, but still a minority. If they choose to ignore everything that's rubbed in their faces by every scientist on earth, they won't listen to the ones like us. So, yes, I ignore them, since I'm much less competent than anyone being qualified to talk about things like that. I'm not into fruitless discussions without having all the facts. I'm not into fruitless discussion at all, since people like that are willfully ignorant, and trying to change their minds is the same as charging Rosinante into battle.

Here is what you are NOT getting. Muslims are not wrong when they say "most Muslims are not violent". But, their minority is big enough to control the narrative in the Middle East despite claiming that.

Now when you talk about a minority right wing in America, you are also correct. But over the past 30 years our right wing has held the political narrative hostage. NO we are not a theocracy, and we ill not allow that minority to knock over our government AS LONG as WE use our voices. But they ARE a strong vocal minority and they DO have an affect on our politics.

"Most are not" does not mean a few can't fuck things up for the rest of society.

Our right wing has done everything it can to make abortion illegal since Roe V Wade, and in many states while still legal, the regulations on the buildings and doctors has shut down many legal places. That in turn has caused countless women not to get even non abortion health care and in more red states unwanted pregnancies are higher because of lack education. That is just women's health.

Economically they side with the top 1% which has exploded the pay gap over the past 30 years. So if you want to claim the right is a minority, so what, that has been the product of that minority holding our country hostage.

We all know by now that creatards don't have or acknowledge a fail-state option.
Eg, if human DNA was unique and not shared with other living things, you guessed it, they'll say:

See, god made us unique because we don't share our special DNA with other life! Checkmate!

He he, you gotta love 'em! Poor things...
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

I could love them if they were not bastardizing science and spreading that virus of stupidity. I could live with a theist who accepts all science and can leave their religion at the door. But even given that, like Stenger, and I agree with him, the debate becomes about treating religion "separate but equal". I don't agree with that, but that is a debate I can live with. I cannot and will not accept a continued attack on facts. Evolution is fact, to not defend it would be like saying it is ok to teach 1+1=Pixies.

I wish these nuts didn't have an affect on public education but they do. I wish they could leave their religion in Sunday school, but they don't.

Yeah, and what are you going to do about it, when even the experts fail? Saddle up Rosinante? They went through school, some went through college, and still it wasn't enough - so what's your take on making a difference?

Will you stop making this about me. This is about what everyone can do and are already doing.

Just the owners of THIS website, not to mention all the others provide skeptic and atheists a voice, that in turn empowers others to raise their own voices. I have been at this online since 01 and back then there was no voice by comparison. I myself got on line because of an atheist nurse out of Chicago who had written an opinion about 9/11 that went nationwide in local papers. It was because of reading her opinion, that motivated me.

You sound women before they had the right to vote, "What's the use, noting is ever going to change"....

Not everybody has to be Hitchens or Dawkins, and not everyone even has to own a website. But to say what is the use is absurd. Do your own thing, or not do something, that is on you. But if you think complaining about me is going to stop me from what I have been doing for 14 years, forget it.

It looks like the devil not only causes you to grow a tail but he also causes you to grow a great big watermark across your back.
