You're thinking about the Islamic hell.  The Christian hell is temporary and everyone makes bail on Judgment Day.

The threat of hell makes me want to put on a kilt and paint my face blue and scream "freedom or death" or in this case hell. As for me, after I die I'm donating my tissues for transplant, and anything left will be used to grow a tree. So I won't care. Trees are fairly indifferent to the concept of hell after all.
