Was Hitler a Christian?
December 21, 2015 at 2:19 pm
Many people are fond of saying that Hitler was a Christian. Why do they say this? Nothing coudl be further from the truth.
I think people make this claim just to make Christians look bad.
He turned from Christ long before he became chancellor of Germany. However, he was not an athesit (like the people on this forum), rather he was sort of a Wiccan/neopagan as were most of the Nazis.
Don't believe me? Look at the societies he was part of:
1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thule_Society#Beliefs
2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-v%C3%B...i_Satanism
Even if the Nazis called themselves Christians, they held many non Christian beliefs: The superiority of the Germanic race (no way jose!!!), sex before marriage is A-ok ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebensborn), and that it is ok to dill-dally in the occult. Also, killing people is un-Christian and they did that too.
Further, many proud and stubborn atheists like to forget the fact that Hitler was never,a Christian, but in fact... a Roman Catholic. Honestly, how can you confuse the two .
Hitler's Catholic beliefs (if he stuck too them), involved worshipping statutes of Mary, calling a priest"father", believeing in non-existant purgatory, and thinking the bible alone isn't good enough and being "Saved by works" instead of "saved by fatihe alone"
Not to toot my own horn, but checkmate athesits!!!

So....Roman Catholics aren't Christian. Yeah, okay, right. I guess you just happen to know the true Christian belief system, don't you?

He professed christianity. Of course there will be many who say he;s not a true christian. That could be said of pretty much anyone who professed christianity, or any other religion. if you ask enough people, you will find some who say you're not doing it right. Christianity, like all religion, is a tool. Hitler used it as a method of control, like many people in high places who say they do what they do because of their higher power.

Still better than the "I'm an atheist, and I can't think of a reason not to murder someone" threads.

No one enforces the franchise. Anyone can claim Christianity, even folks that do NOT handle poisonous serpents. So with no enforcement, all we have is what people say.
I'm not sure we've ever seen a real one here at AF in a very, very long time, we get posers all the time though. Slackers, blasphemers, frauds, the befuddled, charlatans, impostors, heretics, scripture cherry pickers, the confused, fakes, apostates, and whack-a-doodles, every thing it seems, except the real thing.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I think butternut pumpkins go really well with chestnuts. Cook both in a sweet vinegar vegetable broth with laurel leaves, cloves and allspice and some wine, and serve with potato dumplings. I recommend a cabernet dorsa or a similar dark and intense dry red wine to go with it. Basically the same wines you would combine with game. I just wanted to put that out there, and this thread seemed appropriate.
Note that cabernet dorsa is a misnomer, as it is not directly related to cabernet grapes. This was actually claimed by the creator, but modern genetic testing revealed the true ancestors, Dornfelder and Lemberger. I am not too fond of Dornfelder myself, and think it is a rather uninteresting red wine despite its popularity especially during the 90s, which is however slowly waning.
