Well, I'm sorry, Evie, but I find it insulting. And I think it's particularly nasty to take advantage of the situation I find myself in. I am in no position to start responding in kind to this sort of statements right now, and everyone very well knows this. As a side-note, I am very thankful to those who do not resort to those kinds of rhetorical tactics of bullying and ridiculing someone.

Everyone will defend their "right" to offend except when I do it. Then it's a bannable offense.

The analogy with the courts is very bad. Here you don't have the chance to defend yourself. If the staff thinks you acted badly, you're going to get banned no matter what. Are we to assume the staff is always right about everything?

I got banned for having jokes. I know for sure, for example, that at least for one joke I had I was banned.

They can be if they are not taken as such.

This is exactly why I say there should be more communication involved prior to banning someone. It may not be anyone's fault, and you might all have very good intentions, but you won't know if you're wrong or not until you actually speak to the person involved and ask them what they meant by x,y and z.

I find that shoot first, ask questions later is not a very good policy. Yet it is one practiced here, in effect.

And I know I'll talk to God before I ever get anyone to admit their mistakes, that's clear as day and it's simple human nature, but I do hope to stop something from happening again in the future.
