TL;RA (too long, read anyway)
Guys, on the mustang forum, we play a game where someone (the previous winner), nominates what scene he wants outside the car windshield.
So then guys drive their (71-73 mustangs only(it is a forum dedicated only to these models) cars and take a picture from inside the car with the scenery as described.
It could be a gas station, or open field, or a town sign with 3 A's in it, etc)
Since all the pictures were taken from the inside of the car, we couldn't really fake it for many reasons.
I was wondering, since we're all pretty much savvy enough to upload pix, and have phones with cameras on them, we can have a little fun too.
I'm suggesting something easy like the first person who uploads (you must always accompany the photo of whatever the request is with your hand written username on a piece of paper or whatever.) a EG: pic of:
A blue kettle. Or a plain green Tshirt. Something not too easy but also not impossible to finish.
If or someone says a pink car, you can take the photo of a pink car from inside your car as long as your hand written username is always visible.
No taking pictures of a magazine or a print out of a pink car. They must be the real deal.
We can be a little ambiguous, to get the creative juices flowing, eg: if I said show me some rubber (it can be real or colloquialized)?
Well, you could go to your car's tyre and take a photo, or you could photo a condom also (preferably not opened and definitely not used!) This is a family game!
The other twist is if someone said show me your username written in playing cards, or matchsticks or coins, etc. Only when writing your username as part of the game, do you not have to supply the hand written proof of your username. Everything must be a photo of something, not a picture off the net.
Now many users may be attempting this at the same time, so it would be a pity if the game finished and the request changed after the first upload. And the various pics may make good talking points anyway.
So I'll suggest that after the first 5 entries can the winner (the one who posted first (without cheating), nominate his challenge. (in his/hers own time)
If you don't get 5 photos within a week (max), then you forfeit your challenge and the person who posted second quickest in the previous challenge gets to nominate. This is to stop users making things too hard.
I think it can be a lot of fun. We'll leave it to the discretion of any mod if they wish to disqualify any entry for any suspicious reasons at all. (We all trust the mods integrity)
Tell me what you think guys, whether we need to make changes, or maybe to discard the whole concept, whatever. I'm with whatever you guys decide.
Once we agree or whatever, I'll go first. (because fuck yeah)
EDIT#1 one photo per user per challenge.
