As a side note, our Cardinal George Pell, as you know is testifying about the paedophile priest coverups.
He was described yesterday by an ABC journo as exhibiting a sociopathic lack of empathy.
(with regard to his response "I wasn't all that interested in him" with regards to Australia's worst paedophile.)
Who was under him and lived with him for 10 months.

Hey.
I've been described as "disturbingly sane".
Ah yes. But have you been tested?

Not by anyone still living.

After almost exactly 11 months here I think my time has come to an end, at least for the time being. Certain events have transpired which have led to me being less able and less willing to visit AF day-to-day. I've changed a lot in the last year and this place was a large factor of that change (mainly in a positive way). My views on religion have gone through a metamorphosis of sorts: I've turned from a fairly hardcore anti-theist to something more resembling a passive atheist, who just has a problem with dicks of all beliefs. AF definitely helped shape that - people like C_L and Kingpin have made me realise that the labels we affix to ourselves and others often mean very little - the unity of our species is of the utmost importance and must transcend all artificial barriers that we have erected over time.
I think I've also grown as a person - again, AF had a hand in that.
I've met some truly splendid people here - you know who you are. You're all more than welcome to keep in touch via Facebook. I guess I'll miss this place, but for some pretty strong reasons, I don't think I'll be returning any time soon.
If you have any serious concerns, are being harassed, or just need someone to talk to, feel free to contact me via PM

Makes me sad/happy to see them graduate and go out into the big wide world.
But I know where you live in on Facebook and if I ever decide to play Mafia again I'm dragging you with me.

Iro, I'll miss you for sure. Glad to have gotten to know you, brother.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
