I'm assuming that you actually believe your "what if" to be ever so plausible when regarding Biblical scripture as true and correct. Do you want opinions as to how well it ties in to the original work and/or how that could or would change the "angry atheist" view that the Biblical God is a spiteful, cruel and despicable bastard IF it were true?

If so, why don't you just fucking ask?

I'm sure there are a couple people here who might be willing to discuss your little "plot twist" if you'd quit posturing and start communicating like a normal human being.

Has anyone ever pointed out to him that this little scenario is (loosely) the plot to Anne Rice's book, Memnoch the Devil, where Lestat goes to Hell and gets the real story of the fall and why the Adversary acts as he does, battling for the souls of mankind?

We/Our souls were indeed those who were cast out? What if we are those followers of Satan/Demons.

What if...

Our time here on Earth away from the known glory of God is a final test designed to show us where our hearts lie. With God or in rebellion with Satan?

What if...
Those born in this life all begged for a second chance to show where our allegiance truly was, and this life was that chance???

I believe this is somewhat accurate. We didn't really show allegiance to Satan, but some of us were very slow in showing allegiance to God, and then tested with chosen ones, were very slow to show our sincerity in faith to him and the right of that is linked to it. Some of us were very slow in obeying him. Those who took on the holiness became Prophets and Guides or chosen ladies like Mary and Sarah.

Now in the second test, some of us are just turning away from him all together.

However, I also believe you showed a false dichotomy.

Some people are neither sincere servants of God because they haven't been shown the way to do so, but haven't not shown the way, they have not chosen to rebel against Him.

Remember Messengers bring manifest signs in forms of miracles.

Disbelievers in Jesus time and place and turning away from him were rejecting truth when it is so super manifest.

We aren't to judge when the truth has become clear to a soul, because every soul has different capacity of understanding.

Even God's words which are written in a way that no one should not understand, is such that, those who cannot recite them as they ought to be recited are counted among those who don't have the power or a way to accept faith or reject it.

These people, God may forgive them, given they weren't mass murderers or rapists or anything like that. IF they were reasonably ok, on the grey scale, God willingly they will be forgiven.

The world is not all black and white but shades of grey, though some white and some black does exist in it.

Save your prayers Mystic, they'd be wasted on me.  I don't want anything to do with your god, least of all it's forgiveness.
