There is no "I" in "You"

This is one of my greatest peeves. Saying "I don't know" is not the same as dodging the question. Dodgy

I wouldn't know.  Cool

Doing great..thanks for asking.

And you?

Can't complain, thanks.

So I wonder how you conceptualize the goal of Buddhism.  How different do you think life would look after satori/enlightenment?

It's been explained as existing no different than you or I experience life....floating two inches above the ground.

A mundanely exalted experience.

I'll get me coat.

Can't fault the atheist for grasping the superficial obvious.

Do you actually think we're all the same?  Do you think we go to Atheist club and debate what opinion we're all going to have on any given subject?

Fucking retard.

Perhaps I should refer to quip as "the atheist" now. Dodgy

I guess he thinks he's a special atheist and not subject to his own generalisations.

If there's one thing I would like people to come away with from this forum, it's that atheists are just individuals who happen to all not believe in deities. This gives them no more affinity than people who don't believe in Santa. Would you talk about everyone who doesn't believe in Santa as if they're all the same, and have the same opinions and thought processes?

And atheists can believe in whatever other shit they want. You don't get to tell them what else they believe. They can believe in ghosts, magic crystals, afterlives and all kinds of other woo. I'm not saying it's a good idea to believe in these things, but it doesn't stop someone being an atheist when they do believe in them.

Some people continually conflate atheism with scepticism/naturalism. This can be forgiven the first time someone does it. After the second or third time this distinction has been pointed out, you're dealing with an intellectually dishonest person who has to strawman their targeted audience with their projected ideas because the truth doesn't line up with their preconceptions.

I'd be getting seriously offended when some inbred comes on here and makes us out to be the same, if I were you lot.

I'm a complete thundercunt.

I've always assumed that after any and all insights one might gain, there is just chopping wood and carrying water .. with ones feet firmly planted on the ground. Wishes aren't horses and neither are insights.
