The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Why is it wrong to insult a god? I have been insulted many times, never been a problem for me, does that mean I'm better than a god?
Why are gods so weak and pathetic "nasty human called me names, I'm going to cry!"

Yeah, they're pretty harsh in Singapore.
Last time I was there a couple got caught skinny dipping at the beach. They got a hefty fine and lashed, tied to a pole, in the nude, in public. I was lucky to not get charged for bringing a butterfly knife and throwing stars into the country. They kept me in the airport for a good ten hours though and they took my butcher's knife. Actually if Evalion's videos were "hate speech" (and FYI I don't think they were because she said things like "don't you hate those lazy niggers" rather than "don't you hate niggers") then his are too and would be a violation of YT policy and he should get banned as well. FYI you can still see her videos as many are re-upped by other users: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oj6Sbykmro I'm pretty sure she was just a Poe anyway, but regardless I don't really think her videos qualify as hate speech - at least not in my understanding of the word. Distasteful, ignorant, and highly offensive to certain people - sure, but not "hate". But that said, if her videos were considered to be hate speech then I think AmosYee is just as guilty and should suffer the same fate - that would at least be consistent.

Either I'm slow on the uptake, or wrong thread?
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay." For context, this is the previous verse: "Hi Jesus" -robvalue RE: 17 y/o YouTuber faces years in jail for insulting Islam and Christianity

Quote:(and FYI I don't think they were because she said things like "don't you hate those lazy niggers" rather than "don't you hate niggers") Yeah, I'm pretty sure that qualifies as hate speech. The phrase 'don't you hate those lazy niggers' implies that lazy white people are fine by her. Non-hate speech would be 'don't you hate those lazy people.' Boru

But even so her videos are not even close to what I would consider hate speech. They're discriminatory and offensive but that's it. For me hate speech incites others - whereas her videos don't they are just "testimony" or "her POV". Again though, by the same rules if so loosely applied to her should also apply to this kid, his videos are equal in terms of "hate".

What shade does your skin need to be before it's ok, or how light for it to become hate speech? If the person saying these words was referring to a specific lazy group of people who were, as a matter of fact, dark skinned, then I don't think it's hate speech. Crass, certainly.
