I did.

--It may be seen that I posted a definition of beautiful sometime before this post.  A definition of Beautiful - pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically.  Do you agree with that definition ?
--Sure.  Except then beauty isn't a property of things, but rather a person's emotional response to things which are themselves not intrinsically beautiful.--

Do you think a beautiful mind uses wisdom ?

Quote:
Do you think a person may be unbiased ?
--How can you be biased about a subjective position?  If you want to say I'm biased in favor of chocolate ice cream over strawberry, that's a pretty strange way to look at things.  I likes what I likes-- that's not bias, it's a definition of what "like" means.  And beauty, by your definition, is no different.--

If I said to you that strawberry and chocolate have different tastes but taste equally beautiful, do you think you would tell me they don't and that I'm wrong and that I'm biased ?

Quote:You might have agreed with the definition of beautiful.
--Your definition is subjective, and is not a property of any thing which may be called "beautiful."  At best, you could define beauty in terms of neuronal activity, and say, "This sunset triggers 15% of neurons in X portion of the brain."  How else would you attach a number to beauty?--

Do you think that every person who experiences what is beautiful experiences pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically or do you think that there are people who experience what is beautiful but don't experience pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically ?

Quote:You may have looked at my question about being unbiased.
My experience with Christians is that "unbiased" means "open to unsubstantiated fairy tales despite a lack of evidence or reason."  How am I doing? Tongue

Do you consider yourself a mature person ?  What do you think the truth is about absolute truth ?

bennyboy,

--I think most of us here are already convinced that you are asking questions in a gibberish way.  But if you want to provide more evidence, I doubt anyone will very strongly object. . . except by getting bored and wandering off to watch GoT reruns or something.--

Do you think those words hurt me ?

--You seem to be trying to use the Socratic method to prepare a point, and you're waiting for us to do your work for you.  Maybe at some point, you'd like to make a positive assertion, support it with evidence and ideas, and debate those who will disagree with your view?--

You may think that I have asked you before what do you think the truth is about absolute truth ?

You may agree people may have the potential to choose to answer any questions I may ask without them experiencing compulsion.

If someone asserts something, they may be asked to prove it, you may think that's fair.

You may agree words may be thought of as like large magnets and like pulling peoples thoughts and feelings in contradicting directions.

This is the crux of the interaction here. TommyBoy is certainly asking pointed questions (which speak to agenda) in order to put across his message while at the same time avoinding the need to defend it.

I sure wish he'd grow a pair, but hey, if it helps him fap, more power to him, I suppose.

The question-mark at the end of his posts is passive-aggressive, and that denotes the quality of his character.

Also, I'm enjoying a fine homemade spaghetti tonight.

bennyboy,

I wasn't thinking of calling you a "Grasshopper" or saying anything else to you with contempt.

You may ask, "Is a tomato," but do you feel that bananas?

And I don't think we need a Turing test. I think we need a verbal Rorschach test. I guess some people think if you put enough words together on a page, readers will read meaning into it.

Maybe we're being confused into conversion.

But there's a risk we won't sign up to the "right" religion if we're so confused!
