"Trump said, ‘Everybody loves a fat guy. People will watch if you have a funny fat guy around. Trust me, it’s good for ratings.’"
Trump is a genius.
He's not exactly the skinniest guy himself.
Another day another Hail Mary Pass from the republicunt establishment which now knows they are royally and totally fucked.

The rule change would allow delegates to unbind themselves based on “personal or religious conscience.” And before anyone says they are just a couple of nobodies, Paul Ryan said this, as reported by FOX, TODAY. http://fox6now.com/2016/06/17/paul-ryan-...ald-trump/ Quote:Paul Ryan: House Republicans should vote ‘conscience’ on Donald Trump His use of that word is not a coincidence.
Inching their way closer and closer to a blatantly obvious religious test.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
The douchiest of douchebags is waiting in the wings to save the fuckheads from themselves.
http://crooksandliars.com/2016/06/republ...dump-trump Quote:Last week, I pointed out that Scott Walker was starting to waffle on his support for Donald T. Rump, the presumptive Republican nominee. I also pointed out that it seemed that Walker was trying to position himself to be the new nominee if all hell broke loose at the Republican convention. I want to see Drumpf's millions of voters react to this!
Let them implode. It could be the best thing happening to American politics since independency. If only the democrats had some visionary candidate this time round.
One pattern that I've noticed about Trump is that the man refuses to listen to anybody. That's why all of his enterprises have been private. He wants to be the one and only. The problem with that is nobody knows everything about everything. I believe his refusal to listen to advice is why his enterprises failed, one after the other. It's why his general election campaign is in train wreck status. If by some near-miracle he manages to win the Presidency, his administration will be plagued with so many problems as to be completely non-functional - because he won't listen to anyone on any subject. This might make him even more unsuitable for the oval office than his ridiculous ego and buffoonery does.

Quote:Republican civil war officially declared: GOP delegates openly plot to overthrow Trump at convention NBC is reporting on this now. From a purely tactical standpoint, I can see where they're coming from. If they succeed in this, all hell would break loose. Trump would run as a 3rd-party candidate. Hillary Clinton would win and the official Republican candidate would come in 3rd. But the Republicans have no hope of winning with Trump anyway. By casting him off, they might at least suffer less losses down ballot. They might even get some sympathetic respect for standing up to their principles. In theory. On the other hand, disregarding the will of the voters could accelerate the break-up of the party. Either way, this is fascinating stuff for any political junkie - and it's fucking sweet if you're a Democrat. It's gotta massively suck to be a Republican right now. Their presumptive nominee is in free-fall, his campaign in shambles. He is uncontrollable and dragging the entire party down with him. The final battle of the Culture War is about to be lost. Their hero (Antonin Scalia) is pushing up daisies and Hillary Clinton gets to replace him - along with 2 - 3 other retiring SCOTUS justices. It's almost enough to make me feel sorry for them.

I just finished watching Real Time with Bill Maher. He made the observation that this was a 'first' for republicunts. Now they are disregarding the will of white voters!
