not like religious prayer but that prayer they mean in the hashtage #prayforparis or whatever..
I mean:
The hashtag in the topic's title is a mere title, I didn't even search in twitter.
Why didn't Facebook change its homepage "red" in response to yesterday's coup attempt that took down 40-50 civilians?
Next topic: #MuslimLivesMatter
I guess because a coup is different from a terrorist attack. Do you have instances where previous coups have had this hashtag doohickey done for it?

I got bad news for you Atlas: Barely anyone in the West wants to pray for those "brown people". Nobody prayed for Lebanon, Iraq or Turkey. It just got treated as another day in "uncivilized brown land". It didn't get as much media attention as a result.
Yes, it's very sad that this double standard exists. If I was religious I would. Europe is not like the United States where the majority of Christians are Fascists, so I'd like to think I'd not be too brainwashed (if I had no left religion) to not pray for these people.
The thing that gets me though, is everyone is praying for contradictory outcomes. al-Saud's henchmen are probably praying to their deity right now to punish the people of Turkey for being so secular minded and having all these skimpy Westerners invade Turkey's beaches. In war, both sides pray for victory.

There's no such thing as "not a religious prayer", lol. I don't pray for anything. When I want something to happen, I do work. Go talk to christers about their weird prayer standards. I think those people are nuts.....full of double standards, but obviously my thinking that doesn;t stop them and your haranging others for what they might do probably doesn't even register on their radar.

I don't pray for anyone. If they need help and I can offer it, I will.
But prayer? It doesn't do a goddamned thing for those in need; the only "benefit" it has is making the praying person feel good about him- or herself.
