Just watching TV and
I signed up for this service that sends ingredients and insteictions for three different healthy home cooked dinners every week. I'm in the middle of a long term lifestyle change and I don't really know how to cook too many things particularly healthy things, so it'll be a learning experience as well as a culinary one. I checked out the menu for the next couple of weeks and a lot of the meals are things I would not ordinarily choose for myself but I am very excited to try them.

Blue Apron?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Yeah. I tried the free trial through a coupon code from my favorite comedy podcast. It's good food, but the pricing is a little much. I understand the convenience factor, but I'd save $20-$30/week just buying the ingredients and making it myself. I'm pretty handy in the kitchen already.
The food was amazing---I'm just too cheap!

Not gonna lie, they all sound tasty as fuck.
Might go find recipes for those dishes at some point.

Thats the thing - it's worth the premium to me because I tend to just make the same things or variations on the same thing - the educational value alone is enough to get me to do it, at least until I get a handle on cooking decent healthy meals for myself (steak and a beer - which I can cook expertly - is not what I need to eat).
When I grew up, men just generally didn't learn to cook. When my ex-wife and I split eight years ago, I would have starved if it weren't for take-out and delivery. Even before then I probably ate two thirds of my meals in restaurants.
I like good food, I just never learned how to make it (Kitty will say otherwise, but that's only because she's only eaten the three or four things I actually know how to cook).
