Finished up a while ago installing the wind/rain/lightning sensor for the new weather station.

Damn, this work on the roof shit is getting tough on me. Standing with feet canted at wrong angle was rapidly tiring and was making my calf muscles ache, I can imagine a Charlie horse during the night. I'd take a tiazin-whatever but they just seem to delay them till the first night I forget to take one and then ARRRGGGGGGHHHH !!!

I should probably go back up sometime with a level and make sure the pole is plumb (I have a way to adjust that, BTW) but I'm too spent to even consider it tonite.

I checked the read out and the wireless link is working, so that's a relief.

I think I'll put a search on Ebay for another read out (don't need another set of sensors) and set it up in a box with a camera, and then add the camera to the TV channel line up in my house, then the weather station will be available on all TVs. Had a weather station years ago set up that way (B/W camera for B/W readout that go round) but this station has a nice multi color display and it would be sharp to set it up that way.

But not right now . . . .

Me and my girl just took the dog for a walk again.
She decided to go for a swim this time.
Then she went up to anyone walking past and wet them.
These are the hazards of walking in a dog park.
Walking in dog poo should not be a hazard though.
I think from now on I might start picking up the random poos I see near the track.
They provide bags and its not that much hassle, I guess.
Most people do the right thing.

I'll always hate the former division rival Seattle Seachickens! Hell, I still consider them more of a division rival than the lowly Chargers.

I am awaiting a bass player. He's not used to playing with a drummer who plays in time and wants to work on our "groove". I felt like saying "Use a metronome!" was a bit rude, so just shut up.

Forgot to mention:

was out in the Ranger this afternoon, up on the trails, and I saw 3 (!) lizards. All the same variety, 3 or 4 inches long, black stripes running head to tail, and FAST.

All 3 were on the trail, and they are much easier to see going down hill, than up hill.

Lizards are VERY rare around here, I can't say I've ever seen more than 1 or 2 others in the last 20 years.

Saw 2 deer too. It was a pity.


A pity I didn't have a bazooka . . . .
