Quote: Abbas Shouman, the Deputy Chief of the Al-Azhar Islamic School, told Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA) during an interview on Thursday that the mobile phone game “Pokemon Go” is prohibited by Islamic law.

Shouman claimed playing the game is equivalent to drinking alcohol, which is also forbidden by Islam.

“It negatively influences the mind and harms the player or others without being aware of that,” Shouman told the DPA on Thursday.

Al-Azhar School is considered one of the most prestigious scholastic facilities for Islamic studies in Egypt; it is also located near the historical Al-Azhar Mosque.
The Deputy Chief of this school said that playing this game is a sin, citing its obsessive nature as the primary reason for its ban.
Pokemon Go is not yet available in Egypt.
The banned it because it teaches evolution.

The rest are lies candy crush is more addictive by example.
I had to download it from a website [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] it's not hard and if it wasn't for the ban iI wouldn't even have heard of it. Good job fatweh dudes you must work in advertising lol .

Not as an exact science but as an Idea they fight these ideas the pokemon reaches a certain point and it evolves that's the idea they don't seem to like .
They even teach creation in schools I had to study evolution on my own and in college [FACE WITH LOOK OF TRIUMPH]

huss97ein, that's not how evolution works. Evolution takes thousands, often millions of years. Pokémon evolve spontaneously. A better way of describing Pokémon evolution is a baby Pokémon becoming an adult.

For example, you have a Caterpillar Pokémon which becomes a butterfly (this is not like real world evolution):

The only thing Pokemon taught me was that if you force-feed your shitty useless fish enough candies, it will eventually grow up to be a terrifying asian water-dragon looking thing.

huss97ein, funny video, yes. I watch enough old men at war with reality as it is. I have no doubt there are crazy Sheikhs out there.

This isn't supposed to be an orderly structure like Tibetan Buddhism or the Catholic Church, so does that mean anybody can declare themselves a Sheikh? Who gave this clown his "Sheikh" status? I would love to know why there are so may unintelligent Sheikhs.

Sheiks should just go back to what they normally do in private, hit their slaves, drink bottles of bud, smoke weed, have orgies and gamble. Well, at least 3 of them are "haraam", so they should just kill themselves. Religion does this to people. What with Jesus feeding the 5,000 and Mo hearing trees and stones tell him things. Hell, the middle east is some place for some serious shit.
