Golden sunsets, with wild boar and deer roaming the colorful forest, the wine harvest in full swing with new wine tastings at every corner, selfmade pumpkin gratin, chestnuts straight from the tree, nice foggy mornings. The winter constellations are coming out and are visible early. Easily my favorite, and If you count early cheese fondues as a late autumn dish, even more so!

Winter has its own farmec too. I quite enjoy the tranquility and silence it bestows upon the world. It makes me feel more connected with nature than ever. It best fits my disposition, I think.

That or maybe I'm just rationalizing all of this on top of the fact that that's when I was born. I wonder, is your own birthday in autumn as well?

Autumn is fine. Winter is hell.

On the other hand, I now have a Winter King to help me through it so I won't complain.
