I wouldn't waste half as much time as they do coddling unhappy members who have thrown bitch fits and left because the staff didn't jump to their rescue, attempt to use their donation status as leverage or insinuate the staff has favorites who get away with things. Going back to an earlier point, the number of threads this witch hunt on EP and Drich have leaked into is disruptive. Don't get me wrong; I find it hilariously entertaining, but EP and Drich brought nowhere near the drama that you and others have brought to this discussion.

I'd rather pay for the servers and domain name out of my own pocket than see the forum Tibbers busts his ass to run get turned into a safe space. Next time he's up at 1 in the morning trying to fix an outage for ya cunts, I'm going to shut our power off so he can't.

Edited to add: I told Tibby I said I would do that, and his response was "I'd just do it through my phone." That's how nice he is . . . way nicer than I am.

I get it honestly I do. But where do we draw the line? If we change the rules for this, in order to apply them fairly we will have to ban people every time someone threatens to leave because of them.

No one should ever quit over Drich. I realize he can say some really hurtful shit, but he clearly gets a kick out of minimizing other people's feelings. Besides, it's not as if he's ever said one credible or reasonable thing here, and he purposefully provokes people. So, no one should ever take anything he ever says personally. He's just a trolling simpleton whose words carry no weight. He's not even worth the energy it takes getting worked up over him.

He doesn't run it as he sees fit, though. Since I've been here, there's been a staff that votes on these issues. I don't even think he has veto power. That said, he did start the forum with this ideal of free speech in mind. I would hate to see a group of disgruntled members ruin that.
