Oh wool does exactly what it's supposed to do, just not comfortably... that's the military in a nutshell.

With all the money that goes in there, some comfort wouldn't represent much of an extra and would rise moral way more than any speech by any colonel.

Went back to Fort Funston (along the coast, at the southern tip of San Francisco) with the dogs early yesterday.  Love being up and about in the wee hours.  Magical time and place.


This is the sand ladder leading down to the beach taken from the hang glider zone near the parking lot.  I don't use the ladder any more.  There are many pathways possible over the country side that are less jarring.
