He can’t do that.  No U.S. president has any right to tell private companies where they can produce or invest.  More obviously, no U.S. President has the legal authority to impose targeted tariffs or taxes on specific firms — simply to punish business decisions he doesn’t approve of.

The incentives he would need to offer to Apple would make that $7 million look like a freebie.

Hmm. I wonder what would 'incentivize' Trump to move to the US all of the factories that make the dreck he sells...

I get a United Technologies pension in a few years. I had no idea Carrier was part of it, and I also thought United Technologies did a far greater percentage of their business for the DoD. That's what I get for not looking at the information packets they send every autumn.

BTW, $7mil for ~1000 jobs sounds like a WAY better deal than the Solyndra fiasco . . .

Of course there are two sides to every story.... not that the republicunts ever want anyone to hear the other side.
