My operation
RE: My operation
I have developed a lump in my side, near one of the operating sites.

I've talked to the ward, and to my GP, and they are optimistic that it isn't anything too serious. The GP has had a feel, and thinks it might some sort of fluid buildup near the surface. I'm going to have an ultrasound soon to make sure. Maybe it's an alien!

Since I have no other symptoms, in fact I feel relatively good, they think that's a good sign.

Regarding my diet, my specialist is cautiously optimistic. He's not too sure if the problem has really been solved. To be honest him and the surgeon need to get together and discuss it. He's extremely good and proactive, so I wouldn't be surprised if he does just that. I'll be seeing him early in the new year, and I'm hoping that another scan might make sure one way or the other. I have to have a proper diet though... this is the rest of my life I'm talking about.

Anyhow, to be on the safe side, I'll keep with my regular diet until I've at least seen the specialist. My appetite is back to normal, and I'm tolerating my precious diet now. I can still have roasties and fake roast for Christmas dinner. Good enough for me.

RE: My operation
your alien implant may have been dislodged . . .

I think the guys in the black helicopters will stop by some night and put it back where it belongs.

RE: My operation
from the size you're describing, let's hope it is not the nasal cavity model . . . .

Rob, I've spoken directly with your doctors. They said it's ok to eat anything but in moderation only.
So we're only having one burger each ... I won't let you order another no matter how hungry you are ... It's just tough love.

Lol okay, well if it's medically approved it must be alright!

The absolutely stellar bruise is starting to fade a bit now, and the four wounds are healing nicely. I'm so glad it was all dissolvable stitches this time. In the last operation they had to remove some metal clips, and some got lodged into my pretty good. Some of the worst agony I've felt getting them pulled out.

might not hurt to check your alien implant before they put it back in the right spot, sometimes they go bad . . . .

Not an implant. It's a seething puss filled mass that needs to be lanced. No telling what flavor that cream cheese is.

Funny, one of the nurses called me that.
