Big Joe is an intelligent, informed person that doesn't use insults to win an argument. He is also a free thinker and doesn't easily fall for propaganda perpetuated by the media. Be like Joe.

'Big Joe' certainly has the right's talking points down. I'm not sure that necessarily makes him a free thinker. Maybe. Or maybe he's a plant. I really don't know. But I'd hesitate to say he doesn't fall for propaganda until I was damn sure he isn't a shill in support of it. There's just something -- off to me about this supposedly chance interview. From the USA logo on his shirt to his 'spontaneous' checklist of talking points that in no way seems rehearsed to the unidentifiable Uncle Sam interviewer who just happens to catch him on the fly before letting him ramble at length . . . I'm not entirely buying it.

Anyway, nothing we haven't already heard a thousand times.

I had that thought as well but hesitated to make it because I don't really feel like being reminded in post after post after post that there are black Republicans. I know. I know!

I've seen almost all 73 of them on TV at some point or other. 

But yeah . . . casting choice, too.

I don't think he's an actor.

I don't think the person interviewing has claimed just to catch him on the fly either, the interview starts they're stood together and he just says hey this is Big Joe.

He's opinionated about this topic and seems to speak fairly coherently and to the point.

When you say suspicious you do you mean they think they paid a random big black guy then gave him a script?

Random guy? No. I'd say that this sort of video is perfectly in keeping with what I've come to expect from the right, and they don't do random.

That said, I don't claim to know that this is a set up. It might be legit. It just smells a little funny to me for the reasons I've given.

Of course a black guy can be a conservative. They're not that uncommon, especially among Baptists on social issues.

As I've said and will say here again for the third time: It could be legit; I don't know. My suspicion isn't due to "a black guy can't have a different opinion from the left". It's more like: I've watched the right in this country for too long now to put anything past them, including disseminating conservative wet dream click bait like this.

Here's a question that prompted my suspicions: Who the fuck is this "interviewer"? He's certainly not a mainstream reporter, unless they've now taken to wearing ridiculous outfits on the street when they do their job. It's unlikely that he is especially sympathetic to the demonstrations, unless those dreaded liberals are now giving platforms to conservatives to vent their talking points and then spreading the results over the internet (specifically conservative sites from which they will spread). Do you have any thoughts on what other possibilities remain?

LOL. Let's just break this down:

1) "What did Trump do for all of this to happen?" - Well, for starters this wasn't a protest against Trump's inauguration (that happened the day before). This was a protest to demonstrate that there are a large number of women who are fearful about their rights being taken away. Trump has said some decidedly nasty things about women during the campaign; those are facts, not propaganda (you can watch him directly say the words in videos).

2) "When he was elected, rightfully, by the majority of the country..." "What about the other half [of the country] that do like him?" - Trump lost the popular vote by 2.8 million votes. Trump's incoming approval rating was 45%.

...and that's just the first minute of the video.

Does it really matter how this came to be? There will always be people standing up against their own best interests. Minorities voting or rooting for the ones being against them, gays rooting for rightwing bigots or workers voting for the ones that wouldn't even wipe their asses with them.
