Howard Stern unmasks Trump.

He's one of his pals, and so, knows him well. Everything is starting to come together from multiple sources now:
- Being president is not going to be good for Trump's mental health.
- Trump wants badly to be loved, and in particular wants to be embraced by Hollywood. He may pretend otherwise, but the criticism and ostracism really bother him.
- Trump was once a solid pro-Clinton Democrat, and strongly anti-abortion. Stern does not think he's changed his views; he's merely playing to his base.
- This whole thing began as a negotiating ploy to get more money out of NBC; nobody was more surprised than Trump when it took off.
- He badly wants to stop being president.

I think you meant Howard Stern in your title?
Frontline on PBS did a documentary on the difference between Trump and Clinton's early lives growing up. No polite way to put it. Trump's dad verbally abused him, if not physically as well. Trump's dad bullied him and hated failure, taught him to be hyper competitive wanted him to be a "killer". Trump literally was raised not to care whom he hurt to be on top.

It's kind of sad that some publicity stunt landed him a job that's way over his head. He bit off more than he can chew, and now he's stuck with it for four years. Luckily for everyone, he doesn't have to run for reelection if he doesn't want to.

I am not waiting four years. I think all sane people should be a thorn in that fucker's side, even if he stays that long. I think there are quite enough clouds over his head to trip him up regardless. He is unfit and dangerous and the sooner he is out the better off the world will be.
Dems are to blame for caving when Reagan started the age of deregulation and union busting. Trump is the result of allowing the distraction of social issues to protect corporate welfare. Nope, we need to think every day and say something every day and vote every single year, not just midterms and not just presidential elections.
That sick fuck won burning everyone even his own during the primaries. He is NOT good for the country or the world. He cannot lead by scaring the shit out of everyone. He is pissing off our allies as well. I think with enough pressure on him, he will jump a shark nobody can ignore. But barring that, I think we can make him a 1 term president.
He has infected every institution with anti science anti women anti environment anti minority sickos all designed to protec the real welfare queens global corporatism.

I agree. His cabinet picks are about as bad as it gets, and people are fighting it. If he can get impeached, that would be amazing. If we can get some progressives into the House and Senate in 2018, that would be amazing too.

Yes, fixed it, thank you! No idea who "Howard Stein" is! (Perhaps "Ben Stein" was crossing my mind at the time.)

I would say that it is a sure bet that the House will flip back to Democratic control in 2018, but then again, I thought that it was a "sure bet" that the first US woman President would be in the White House right now!

At the very least, when everything promptly goes to shit over the next 2-4 years, the republicans won't have anyone to blame but themselves. After all, they have the majority in all branches of government now. They pretty much run the show.

Well, at least it's not Howard Storm, taking a break from his NDEs.

Crediting Stern with this much insight when all he's doing is giving an opinion that just coincidentally supports the majority view around here doesn't strike me as terribly useful; it's essentially saying, "Howard Stern agrees with us!"
That's great, he agrees with us. Now let's see if he, and we, are actually right.

They'll still blame everyone else. And the core Drumpf*ck base will happily accept the excuses and the "alternative facts". Because it's USA, where politics is essentially a sport and a spectacle, and most people tend to support their team, no matter what dope the players are on and who they rape. The orange fuhrer will have to f*ck up really badly, in order to become un-electable in four years. Fingers crossed...
