The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild
March 1, 2017 at 8:54 am
So, the new Zelda game is here in two days, people. Two fucking days!
I have waited years for this. I had to shout about my excitement somewhere. I can't believe it's finally almost here, I think I'm going to shit myself.
Unfortunately, I can't justify buying a Switch day one, too many business expenses right now, but my Wii U shall be graced with having this game on it. I'll probably buy it again once I have a Switch though. Digital copy for my Wii U( I can't risk a pre-order not turning up) and a physical copy for Switch.
If you are excited about the new Zelda, then feel free to chat about it here. If not, then kindly go cut yourself before I do it for you.
Seriously though, I'm gonna shit myself.

Looks good. I thought I'd check out a few minutes of gameplay and watched the whole 25 min clip.
Vast world, so many features like flying and climbing almost anywhere, snowboarding, differences in behaviour of enemies according to time of day/night and weather.
Did I say vast world?

I would play this game, if I had a Wii U, or Switch. I kind of left consoles, as I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a new system every five years. A Link Between Worlds has somewhat restored my faith in Zelda. Though I did like Skyward Sword too.
I know it's linear as hell, but by that point I had become numb to it. My friends would complain that it's so linear, and I'm like "Well yeah, since when have Zelda games not been linear? Haven't you noticed the trend yet?". But yeah, if I was still buying gaming consoles, I'd be buying this one.

If I had a Wii U or a switch instead of a PS4 I'd definitely want to get this. As it is, though I rarely buy games that are band new.

I can't afford another game console, but I'm really hoping to play this sometime. Then again, I still wouldn't buy this right away if I did have the money. I'm done buying games as hyped-up as this before I see some post-release reviews. It will probably be great, but I'm fine waiting a bit for it.

Breath of The Wild looks pretty cool. The last Zelda game that I played was Ocarina of Time for the N64. I absolutely loved that game along with the soundtracks to it. I hope Breath of the Wild is as equally awesome as Ocarina was (perhaps even more awesome). Thanks for sharing, as I didn't know that this was coming out. Live long and prosper.
P.S. For any Zelda Aficionados, here's a link to the Ocarina soundtrack. It starts with the opening theme, which IMO, is beautiful. I hope BOTW has an awesome soundtrack.

This one is open world. The developers even said you can make it to the end boss in about 10 minutes, but you'll be so weak that you'll get smoked.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

That's good. Kind of wish I know a guy that played Nintendo games and liked the Zelda series, so I could go to their house and play. But alas, I don't have a robust social network.
