"Client copy" as in "The client (Trump) gets that copy for himself"
Yes, I too employ an accountant for my taxes. So I know what a "Client Copy" is.

I try not to be a conspiracy theorist, but the fact that just two pages of a tax return from 2005 show up in a guys mailbox seem dubious to me. Also, the fact that the WH published the income and tax paid ahead of the show tells me that they knew exactly what she had in her hand before the show aired.
Again, the important thing to take away is that trump paid a smaller percentage of income tax than most middle class people. The reason was due to the alternate minimum tax which he wants to get rid of. If it had not been for the alternate minimum tax, he would have paid about 3.5% of his income in taxes.
Was it legal.. Yes.. Is it right? IMO fuck no..
This is the kind of shit you people who keep putting republicans in power perpetuate. Hell no! It wasn't Maddow's fault that she fucked up! The Republicans twisted her arm and forced her to put Trump's 2005 tax returns on the air! She thought she had something big that would validate all the conspiracy theories against Trump. The only thing she accomplished was coming out of this looking like a dumbass. I think it's more like the screeching ass democrats scampering around looking to grab at anything they can find to undermine Republicans. democrats are crazy. They're fucked in the head. Their brains are Silly Putty.

Obama - paid 18.7% of income tax in 2015
Bernie Sanders - paid 13.5% of income tax in 2014
I'm sure you're just as upset that barack and Bernie paid smaller percentages of their income taxes than most middle class people, too.
Actually it does piss me off that they paid a lower percentage than I did.
The difference is that Bernie and Barack know the system is rigged towards the well-to-do people. They think the wealthy should pay their share and are in favor of increasing taxes on themselves. In contrast, the orange fucktard wants to give the rich (including himself) a huge tax break. I totally understand the rich republican. But I don't know how the current distribution of the American tax burden doesn't piss the shit out of every average guy/gal. It's as if all average republicans care about is whether or not they can buy that new assault rifle, keep others from getting an abortion, and keep gays from getting married. Fuck everything else. Republicans are happier bitching about some poor sap who used some food stamp money to self medicate instead of the billionaires who hide their money overseas to keep from paying taxes.
It's absofuckinglutely mind boggling to me.

Remember when Romney released his and was only paying like 15% or something? That's what the problem was. Trump probably had losses offsetting his recent income and knew that it was better to release nothing, than to release something showing him paying a low effective rate.

Like I said, he could easily have said he didn't see the point in doing so. Remember how, during the leadup to the 2008 election, Obama decided to not wear a flag lapel pin because it was a meaningless gesture? Trump could have easily done the same thing, especially since I honestly didn't know that presidential candidates releasing their tax forms to the public was really a thing that happened until the controversy regarding Trump's nondisclosure started making the news. You'd think that would make it seem a bit less like he had something to hide.

If it "actually" pisses you off that much then why didn't you rail against Bernie and barack the way you did against President Trump? If they know the "system is rigged" towards the well to do people aren't Bernie and barack just as guilty for taking advantage of that "rigged system"? I draw Social Security and I work part time operating a Reach Truck in a warehouse. I can tell you, warehouse wages and Social Security doesn't give you much of an income, especially if you're the only wage earner in the household. My warehouse earnings are taxed at a 25% rate, the same tax rate that the President paid in 2005. barack paid a rate of 18.7% in 2015 and Bernie paid only 13.5% in 2014. These two guys make a hell of a lot more money than most of us, bitch about the rich paying their fair share, and then take advantage of the "rigged system" in the same fashion that they accuse the rich of doing. There's no difference, as you say, when those who rail against "well-to-do people" to pay their fair share are also taking advantage of the system. Double standards. The only people getting fucked are the blue collar working stiffs which the democrats took for granted in the election.

That kind of campaign rhetoric is what cost the democrats the election. The dems lost traditionally blue states, some that hadn't voted for a Republican president since the 1980s, in the last election. They took their once loyal and largest voting base for granted, the white blue collar working class in the coal and rust belt areas. Hillary didn't even step one foot in Wisconsin during her campaign. The voters in these areas want jobs to come back. They couldn't care less about the rhetoric. But if the dems want to continue making this all about guns, gays, racism, bigotry, and abortion instead of trying to win back their once loyal and largest base from the Republicans, be my guest. They'll lose the mid terms as well.

I think what pisses me off the most, being a low income blue collar working stiff who paid into the system all of his life, is that I can't share into the benefits that I'm being taxed to death to pay for. I tried for Obamacare, but on what I earn I can't afford $700 a month for just myself and my wife, and our doctor told her she needs to see a surgeon. The market place suggested we try Medicaid. Okay, we tried. We were turned down because I barely earned above what Medicaid requires. I can get insurance through where I work, but who the hell has $3,200 out of pocket for a yearly deductible before the insurance pays anything? Yup. I'm without insurance because I can't afford it, and a lot of blue collar working stiffs are in the same boat. But, people who have lived on government assistance all their lives can enjoy the benefits of Medicaid and food stamps, the same benefits that we pay for but are not permitted to have. Five years ago I had to have two life saving surgeries that resulted in extended hospital stays. Luckily, at the time, we had insurance through where my wife worked. On one weeks notice, the place where she worked told their employees that they were going out of business. So, no insurance and no help. It's not just the rich who takes advantage of the system. It's definitely rigged against the blue collar working stiffs.

First I need to see Trump's birth certificate. I heard he was actually born on an alien moon base, and is a lizard person who wears a mask and wig. All our leaders are secretly lizard people, but this is the worst lizard person disguise yet.

I guess you'll have to wait until someone puts that documentation in some journalist's mailbox who then passes it on to Rachel Maddow for her to show the proof on television. Oops.

It's the Horatio Alger myth writ large. Ordinary or below poverty income level republican voters think that through hard work, enterprise and a little luck they too have a chance to strike it rich. They therefore don't want to raise taxes on the rich because they envisage themselves to be part of that set in twenty or thirty years time.
