However I'm serious.... can you answer the question please?

Nope all three pics were referring to your denial . Sorry if like most things on this thread that flow over your head . I'm also sorry your too dense to read the thread and figure that out. Oh and

And just so you don't get confused, THIS PICTURE IS REFERRING TO YOU. I put it in nice big letters for you.

It is funny, and sad, that the irony is lost on you....   I am the one trying to discuss and reason through the issue.   I am trying to get you or others to discuss.  Arguing like a 12 year old, is not helpful and only obfuscates the issue.  Now I don't predict, that this will change anything, and that you will start reasoning like an adult, or actually look at the issue.  If this is correct, then I'm done.  I'll post information and my reasoning... you can keep ignoring it.   Perhaps, I should interpret your silence as evidence against any reasoning behind what you have only provided links to.

There were no priests in the first century, and little if any persecution of Christians, so the writers of the period would have no reason to keep their heads down.

Huh? google around and you'll see examples like this below where Stephen told the snooty priests "You murdered Jesus!", so they and their lackeys murdered him too-

Dude, that's from acts, aka, ripping yarns. Also, if you're referring to Rabbi's then call them Rabbi's, not priests.

From your post in question:

Quote:Well considering the snooty priests and Romans liked to go around killing anybody who mentioned Christianity

The discussion at hand is; writers during the early to middle 1st century. Christianity didn't appear till the end of the 1st century, and then it was barely a small cult.

Edit: Sorry I was a pedantic twat. Rabbi / priest are indeed synonymous. My bad Angel
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Pssst - that's not a photograph.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

So we now know that you unquestioningly believe bullshit and lies invented in the 5th century CE and after. Is there anything else you want to add to help your credibility?

Take that back, Ripping Yarns is damned good fiction.

Not sure I follow you mate. Didn't Christianity kick in well before the 5th century?
And why would the early Christians want to make it all up and get themselves thrown to the lions?

In a word: politics. Seriously, you need to read up on how the bible was compiled.

Oh and the whole xtians vs lions thing is a myth.

As bad as he is, you make RR look like a Rhodes scholar.  Grow up, sonny.  You don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

1- As I understand it, as the years went on after Jesus's execution, people said to the disciples- "Hey, put it all down on paper and get it published"  and bingo! the gospels were born, or am I missing something?

2-  According to the historian Tacitus, Christians during Nero's time (at least) were mainly torn apart by dogs, crucified, or burned alive. The Romans did throw people to lions on occasion, so it's quite probable nasty xtians were among them.
Another historian, Tertullian, writing later remarks that the Romans were always ready to exclaim "Away with the Christians to the lion!".

Yeah, you really need to work on your education in this area if you want to comment on it in any serious way.
