Can God be seen in the maths?
#61
RE: Can God be seen in the maths?
Sorry about the loss of your mum, but as a great philosopher once said- "Shit happens".
My mother went braindead 18 years ago with thyroid complications so I gave the medics permission to switch her off, there's zilch I can do about it so I just let her go.
If our life is a holodeck program (as some scientists speculate), it was a case of "Computer, end program!"  for her and the rest of us when we die..Smile

PS- As for Jesus being "fictional" that's a highly debatable point, as he certainly ticked all the boxes for being an alien visitor just like he said he was, but sadly he got the same reception as other aliens..Wink-

I agree, he ticks all the boxes for being an alien visitor.

Fictional.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

If the evidence that lead them to their conclusion is anything like the evidence you've offered in thread....then...yeah.

Next?

But I thought scientists were infallible?

No, scientists are human just like everyone else. What comes closest to infallible is the scientific data.

Are you trolling?

Evidence that the OP has not a clue how to science, Exhibit A:

Is that what the voices told you?  They tell me other stuff.  / shrugs

What a strange thing to think..since science is built around human fallibility entirely. No amount of experiments can prove a hypothesis, and it only takes one to disprove it. Pretty much all science can do is arrive at provisional certainty through a process of elimination.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

OP, do you think that Jesus was beemed back up to the mother ship after 3 days of searching for him?
Now if the cave his body was put in had kryptonite in the rock, I can understand how the ship sensors had trouble scanning for his lifeform signature. That would make a lot more sense wouldn't it?

Your welcome.

Fictional.

And many saw Sauron too! What's your point?

I know a guy who knows a guy who read about it somewhere...

RE: Can God be seen in the maths?
Thanks for talking to me guys and gals, but I still haven't mastered the AF reply/quote system, so until I figger it out I'll answer below in pretty blue ink..Smile

Minimalist quote- So...just curious but how much of that silly bible bullshit do you think really happened?
Hopefully AF members will help me learn which bits are true and which bits are not.

Ignoramus quote- I know a guy who knows a guy who read about it somewhere...
When the first gospels were published, why didn't anybody from the priests, the Romans or the people, ever come forward to say "Baloney, it never happened!" ?

Whateverist quote- Evidence that the OP has not a clue how to science.
I got College of Preceptors exam passes in General Science and Advanced Science in the 1960's and went on to work in labs and become a "shatterer of worlds".
So naturally the "Superscience" in the bible intrigues me and it's FUN checking it out and speculating..Smile
For example Jesus said  "You have no idea where I come from or where I am going", so maybe we should send out a probe?

STARGATE-THE MOVIE
[The probe moves up the ramp and through the Stargate.]
SHORE -"The thing has locked itself onto a point somewhere in the Kaliam galaxy."
DANIEL- "Where are we on that map?"
[Daniel moves to the far end of the star chart, then follows to where the trajectory guide is now sitting.]
CATHERINE- "That's right, Jackson. It's on the other side of the known universe"
