I don't think think she's all that funny personally.

Why does everyone hate Amy Schumer?
|
About the only comedian I really didn't care for was Gilbert Gottfried, UNTIL I heard his Aristocrats version.
What can I say, he won me over!! The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I imagine one of the reasons she appears gets less leeway with her irreverent brand of humor is because she's just not that funny.
I think she's kinda hot
Other than that I don't really know about her. What's she in?
I've heard a little bit of her comedy. But I've heard so much comedy it all kind of melts into one. I used to kind of have the hots for her. Not sure why people hate her. Sometimes she isn't funny and sometimes she is. Like any comic.

God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!
I think it's pretty crappy that people bully her the way they do. Writing nasty stuff to her/about her on the internet and such, that's not right.
With that being said, I'm not a fan of her myself. This is based on what I've seen from her and what she stands for, considering I've never met her. One thing I don't like is her loud/obnoxious personality. I'm not a fan of Jim Carry for this same reason. I'm more of a calm/chill person and it's just annoying and off putting to me, and I don't find it funny. Can anyone else relate? I also don't really like how super liberal she is, and I don't mean that so much in a political way. I mean like, the movie Trainwreck for example (which she wrote and acted in). She plays the role of this girl who sleeps around and uses men sexually, and it is portrayed in the movie as being a cool and acceptable thing to do. It's supposed to be "progressive" and empowering to women. But I don't care what your sex is, I don't agree that this kind of behavior should be encouraged in anyone. And I didn't like that the purpose of it in the movie was to be like "See?? Women can do these things too! Just like men!" Anyway, it's a combination of not liking her personality along with not liking what she promotes and stands for.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I don't think she's all that pretty, and I think she'd be proud of that fact, which, I confess, bugs me. I say all that having 60 extra pounds on my skeleton. It doesn't look good, it's hard on the knees, and on the cardiovascular system.
She just acts like she doesn't care. About anything. Kind of abrasive. But sometimes none of the above.

Meh, there's a stereotype that someone had the "kindness" to inform me that women comedians aren't funny.
I'm not into her standup comedy, it's a little boring. I thought her show Inside Amy (on Comedy Central, I think) was hilarious though. -Teresa
