Cause and effect; in other words.
No, I don't buy that argument. Attractiveness is very much in the eye of the beholder. There are many things that some people find beautiful and other people view as ugly, trite or otherwise not inspiring.
A divine hand in making a realm beautiful would also make it necessary to blame that same divine hand for things that are clearly repugnant. Credit and blame must be assigned equally or not at all.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Curiosity is what propels mankind towards the cosmos. We do not know, but we want to know. We want to know everything that there is.
Some of us fear the unknown, some want to keep it unknown.... and some want to push the barrier of the unknown as far away as possible.
Until we know for sure, many will speculate on what will be found. If little green men, or tall grey ones... we'll see if any at all... or maybe mankind will never find out for sure... we don't know... but we'll never know, if we don't keep pushing.
The "realm" is defined to be:
Quote:realm
rɛlm/
noun
Lawarchaicliterary
noun: realm; plural noun: realms
- a kingdom.
"the defence of the realm"
synonyms:
kingdom, sovereign state, monarchy; More
empire, principality, palatinate, duchy;
country, land, domain, dominion, nation, province
"his prime concern was to promote peace in the realm"
- a field or domain of activity or interest.
"the realm of applied chemistry"
synonyms:
domain, sphere, area, field, department, arena; More
world, region, province, territory, zone, orbit
"the realm of academic research"
- Zoology
a primary biogeographical division of the earth's surface.
"this zoogeographical realm includes Africa south of the Atlas Mountains"
So it's quite obvious from the context that I was talking about number 2: you can say "the observed region-the observed world- the observed zone...etc".
Yep; that curiosity is the source of my post: where does it come from? What sparked it in our brains in the first place?
There are other unknowns that nobody wants to discover at all. That's why, "boring" exists as a word.
Space exploration requires effort, resources, sacrifice, and sometimes nothing is even discovered.
But since the days of Babel and Ancient Egyptian, rumors of a "God" or "Gods" existed, astronomy was active all the time, pick a civilization randomly, and you will always see an interest in space.

What the world needs is more people not like me. This is a quandary as like most people I think I am quite fair-minded and that others are not.

They said, "Yes, we have testified." [This] - lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, "Indeed, we were of this unaware."
I think the human sub-conscious knows that God exists all along; but it's the actions we do that write our consciousness, and the real "us" only appear when we hold total control over our senses; i.e when we are conscious.

And that presupposition has to do with junk food addiction how, exactly? See, throwing up another non-sequitur to justify your first non-sequitur doesn't work.

The link is memory !
What the article about fast-food mentioned, is that people keep coming back to the food because "they formed positive memories while eating it".
So what's in our memory, that keep us coming back to outer space? what are the positive memories that keep our sub-conscious craving space and planets?
The curiosity that "pocarcas" mentioned.

There seems to be a correlation between what we find attractive and what would have helped our ancestors survive: signs of reproductive fitness, good weather, novel terrain, etc.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
