What about if this robot looked like an underage girl. Would this solve the pedophilia issue? Make it worse? Other?

Not all people who don't want open sexual relationships are afraid of them. Some people simply prefer monogamy and its simplicity.
When I'm married, I'm totally monogamous. When I'm not, I'm a slut.

As a society there's still a big taboo on people having sex before marriage, or living with each other, or being in same sex couples, or anything out of the normal idea of two opposite sex virgins getting married for life. And they wonder why we have problems with spouses cheating on each other because they aren't satisfied sexually.
If that's what you mean by open sexual relationships then I completely agree. I thought you meant open in the way that people refer to relationships where it's agreed they can sleep with other people. That said, I've never encountered the sex before marriage thing as a taboo outside of a rare few super religious people in my life.

It may make some pedophiles feel less guilty (then again it might make them feel more guilty?) but it won't stop child molesters from being child molesters.

Do you have some sort of data to show that people who were virgins when they married are more likely to cheat on their spouse?

I would be curious to see people's answers to this. My opinion is it would make it worse. Because it's just another step closer to getting to the "real thing." It just further desensitizes the idea of having sex with a kid.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

That's true. Might make it more acceptable.

I don't think it will have any effect either way on people who actually molest children because I don't think child molesters molest children because they're attracted to them. Just like how rapists don't rape people because they find them attractive.

No. But I know we have a lot of stories and songs about people cheating because of sex. I presume that most people who are unsatisfied with the sex they get with their partner, is because they didn't have sex before marriage. If they did, they'd know what they were getting into, and would have moved on before marrying.

I lost my virginity to a married woman who told me she got plenty of sex with her husband every night and that she was just greedy
(this isn't a joke)

There are always exceptions to the rule, I'm sure. Bad people who do wrong things just because they want to.
