Thought I'd post my latest painting since I posted my chemo color study of it.

Frankly, I think both color studies turned out better than the final painting here (clearer colors, less muddy) but hey, that's what learning is all about.

I had about 30 roses in my yard at one time. I lost about half of them to a severe winter a few years back. I had a few varieties of Peace Roses, which are my favorites of the Tea Rose variety, Love and Peace, Chicago Peace, and Peace. I several real nice varieties of English Roses and I made a hedge row from different kinds of shrub roses. They can really set a yard off. The maintenance can really be tiring if you have a lot of them. 

Good luck with your rose. Do you have any pictures of it?
