Well a lot of them are kids, and kids are happy as long as there is pie and something to do.
Actually now that I count, I think it's only going to be 30 or 33 this year. Always seems like more. (Of course that's assuming my ex husband, his whore, their offspring, and my oldest son, his wife, and their 2 kids don't show up like last year... Now if that happens it WILL be blood sport)

The girl between the ex and the wife was a vegan, actually. Come to think of it, most of the females I've ever been involved with have either been vegetarians or at least sympathetic. I cook really good vegan food. It would be a shame if I just grew the shit..wouldn't it? I've never been a meat and potatoes guy myself. Been cutting meat out of our diet for years...but the meat and potatoes is strong with the wife. She says she had the disgusting fake meat for a friend.
What can I say, I'm a walking contradiction.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Sounds like you have a healthy relationship with the ex's new wife.

Oh, definitely. Best of buds. We're gym buddies so she can show off her fake tits, and tell me how even though I'm nearing 50, I can 'get in the best shape of my life' as if I'm not already fucking underweight. And look damn fine as it is.

I hope you didn't just suggest Divinity's breasts were like plantains. That wouldn't be so nice especially after all the shit she hears from that bitch her ex hooked up with.

I brined my 15 lb bird today, cut my potatoes (and created a minor plumbing emergency with the potato skins), and snapped my fresh green beans for the casserole.
Key to the best mashed taters is to bring some heavy whipping cream to boil with 5-6 cloves of garlic and some butter as well. Mmmm, mmm good.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I will try that next time. I added some cream cheese to my smashed taters this time. Never would have thought of that but, you know, youtube.

Roast turkey breast (fresh, not frozen or processed)
Homemade mashed taters
Homemade herb stuffing
Sweet potatoes
Homemade cranberry sauce
Green bean casserole
Pie
(I also do not cook stuffing inside the bird, primarily for food safety, not to mention the fact that we only do breast.)
My bold.
Interesting. I never knew that was unsafe.

I'm not cooking anything, because most people like food to be edible.
My husband however has made a lot of food already including pumpkin pies, cranberry bread, and amish bread. Tomorrow morning he will take the unenviable task of getting up early and putting the turkey on to cook. Luckily he doesn't have to cook much more, because our guests will bring the side dishes.
