Group B is curious...
Portugal, Spain and Morocco are all very close, and then the far away Iran.
From my super outdated knowledge of how these countries play.... let me try to predict the outcome...
Group A: Russia, Uruguay, Egypt, Saudi Arabia => Russia and Uruguay qualify
Group B: Portugal, Spain, Iran, Morocco => Portugal and Spain qualify
Group C: France, Peru, Denmark, Australia => France and Denmark qualify
Group D: Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria => Argentina and Croatia qualify
Group E: Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia => Brazil and Serbia qualify
Group F: Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea => Germany and South Korea (maybe Mexico) qualify
Group G: Belgium, England, Tunisia, Panama => Belgium and England qualify
Group H: Poland, Colombia, Senegal, Japan => Poland and Japan qualify (I so want to see Tsubasa!! )

I agree that the absolute hit of this group stage is the clash of Portugal with Spain!
I'm looking forward to see this match ...
..but I think that interesting skirmishes will be much more ... France will face Denmark, Argentina with Croatia or Germany will face Mexico and Belgium with England ... cool for me ...
but honestly....I was hoping that Germany and England would be in one group

Which group seems to be a death group for you?
Does your country play in this World Cup?
Is there any soccer fan here?
To answer your questions:
1) England are still fucked, and despite the draw being rigged so are Russia. Portugal v Spain could be tasty, and Poland are in the Group of Death .
2) See 1)
3) No because Martin O'Neill's brand of caveman football lost us a very winnable group, and very tamely a playoff against a Denmark side little better than our team

A group of death ... ha! For me, this is a group D...Argentina, Croatia and the great surprise of recent months, Iceland! Very interesting group...
But before the World Cup starts, we'll have some friendly matches....so it will be a good opportunity to talk..
I think you are right, group D, Nigeria could be a surprise package.
Poland should Top that group on paper, but as we know in football anything can happen.
Looking forward to it so much
Nigeria will be what they always are, a team that looks way better on paper than they do in the flesh. Colombia are a much better team than Poland IMO.

So when Nigeria qualify along with Argentina I wont say "I told you so." I'm willing to bet that Poland will finish above Colombia as well if you fancy a bet. (you can pay up via PayPal)

I actually meant Cod's head. That's what I get for posting during tea break at work.
And this is my idea of a fashionable hat:

This is my prediction for the England matches :-
Tunisia 0 England 0 (dull match with almost no goalmouth action)
Panama 1 England 1 (with England equalising in the 89th minute)
Belgium 3 England 1 (comfortable win for Belgium - Harry Kane gets sent off - Spanish referee gets death threats from Brexit supporters)
