Well, at least after the Hannibal Burress video went viral; Honestly, the first time I heard about the allegations was on Drawn Together shortly after the original 2006 suit. One episode had a Bill Cosby cameo where, after Captain Hero's inbred son ate an entire reservoir of banana pudding, Bill Cosby claimed he'd just be another unemployed sexual predator without it. In another episode, some barely-concealed expies of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids allegedly gang-raped Foxxy, and, after she has Fat Allen in a corner, he insists "we're not Bill Cosby, we're just his creations!" Looking it up on Wikipedia, I found out about them, found they had been settled out of court, and I just let it go at that and assumed, in my naivete that the fact that they managed to settle it meant nothing happened (I have since become more knowledgeable about this sort of thing in the intervening decade). Then, eight years later, the avalanche of accusers comes along and I start to rethink that.

Looking up the Urban Dictionary defintions (there are loads of them, I can't sort them by date, and I don't want to look through them all), it seems most of the pre-Burress definitions were non-sexual. There were some that might have potential tangential relation to what he was accused of, but most seemed to be oblivious.

Weinstein: Apparently, the DA in this case really wants to be sure that the case against him is perfect, partly because rape is, for better or for MUCH MUCH worse, is a remarkably hard crime to prosecute.

Moore: While several of the crimes Moore has been accused of actually don't have a state of limitations in Alabama (apparently any sexual offense involving a child under 16 can be filed at any time as long as the accused is still drawing breath in Alabama), I strongly suspect that, if the national Republican party gave that little of a shit about it, the Republicans who run Alabama probably don't care about actually holding their two-time Chief Justice to account.

Why is Cosby the one who's been convicted so far? Because he had several years' worth of head start on the several hundred people who've been accused of sexual misconduct in the past seven months. And it took this long for him to be convicted. Give it time, and we'll likely see more white faces among the convicted. Remember, it took over a year for the DA to charge Cosby with an offense whose statute of limitations had not run out. The first trial took nine months to prepare for, and it was declared a mistrial with Cosby's lawyers barely even bothering to make their case during the trial.

There's a lot of points where the law has the effect of totally shafting the black man, but Cosby being convicted while Weinstein is still technically a free man does not appear to be one of them.

I’m not talking about indictments (and Rev Ryan already addressed this so I’m not sure why you’re asking it again), I’m asking you what you believe.  So, do you believe any of the Weinstein or Roy Moore accusers?  Or, do you think every single one of them is lying to get money?
