Is the dimmer switch on the column or on the floor board?

That's where I pick up the book I reserved after reading a sample chapter on Amazon.  </minimalist cheapskate>

Nah. It's the place you log into to check out the ebook after reading a sample chapter on Amazon. [/lazy minimalist cheapskate]

Game warden checking catches at a boat dock. One elderly gentleman comes in with his limit on EVERYTHING. The warden congrats and sends him on his way. The next day the old guy repeats the performance. And the day after that!

The warden is curious as all hell and asks to go along on the next trip out. The old guy takes him to a secluded bay and drops anchor. He pulled out several sticks of dynamite, lights one and tosses it well away from the boat. When it stops raining lake water he runs the boat over and cherrypicks the stunned fish.

The officer is shocked. "You can't do that, especially with me right here in the boat!"

The old guy just lights another stick and tosses it in the warden's lap.

"You gonna talk or fish?"

Hell, I barely understand them.

Ha! I'll have to remember that one. I have a buddy from work who's a fishing nut. He'll like that.

I actually find it hard to read e-books unless they're very short.  Slogged through Don Quixote and Around the World in 80 Days on a dedicated e-reader and found it frustrating, so I went back to dead-tree editions.  I do most of my reading at the kitchen table, or sometimes sprawled on the couch.  (Current fiction is Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs; current non-fiction is the latest edition of Sky News).

Dunno if it's been mentioned (I'm too lazy to go through 11 pages Tongue ), but kids today will never understand the 1980s. I mean, all of the 80s.

I'm afraid my cowardice came to the surface there and I fled the country. Got back in '89 or so. Evidently someone named "Axel Rose" was elected President? Never did get my MTV. Whatever that was.
