I think people forget that just because you pity someone doesn't mean they aren't a really shitty person.  Hammy was routinely attacking people for years for all sorts of things, the majority without provocation. The idea that not treating him like the Dursley's  treat Dudley is 'provocation' is nonsense.  The idea Shell B has any responsibility in any of this is absurd.  

Maybe it's autism, but the group his behavior really maps well to is the incel community.

You could consider that Mr CL feels the same way. TBH I envy him... for being able to fly around aircraft. I couldn't join the air force due to poor eyesight. Still that bird lands near his frightened dove, and where did I hear that story before?

To be honest, everyone continuing to discuss Hammy is just as much into drama as he was, because so far no one has ventured to drop the subject.
